Hi alt+1 or control+1 does nothing in skype talking. Time to see the docs again. Control 1 will move you to the first panel in skype with the scripts installed that is the contacts panel. Alt+1 reads the most recent chat message with the scripts installed if you have an active conversation.
Note though these are script commands not skype talking.
