No you don't need the script to use skype talking. How-ever if you're running jaws with skype 4.2 might as well have them. The scripts make getting around in skype a breeze. Just get the scripts and install them. Now go in to the jaws options dialog with jaws key v while skype is the active program. Turn off the option that says recognize conversation activity. Hello, No need for scripts if you use SkypeTalking. By the way, SkypeTalking command for reading chat messages is Alt+Control+Shift+1 through 0, not just Alt+1 through 0.
