Hi, the only way to find voice mail is to do as I describe. Window-eyes
users actually have it easier because of the api and the status
information
dialog that has been coded in to the skype scripts for window-eyes.
Hoping
something like this can be added to skype talking so it will be easier
for
all.
As far as your distortion problem it was probably the person recording
it.
Voice mail comes out here loud and clear accept when the person calling
me
as has a really bad mike.

i heard the message although it was distorted this is nothing to do with
voicemail program or indeed your guide method
this is the way it was recorded
i have got further from your guide than i had before you posted to the

when i find the voicemail i need to hear?
and to Cindy your inbox notification does inform you who left the message
but it is a bit of a way down the email but it is there

Ok do the following.
One as you describe go to the conversation panel this is done with
control
2.
2. find the person who has sent you voice mail.
3. press the space hear here to pick up this conversation.
4. press control 5 to move to the events for this chat. This is where
you
see voice mail messages.
5. press end to get to the bottom of this list.
6. arrow up to the voice mail in question. When you find it press tab
to
the play button.
7. press the space bar here, and the voice mail will play.

I have the same problem with voice mail. I pressed Jaws Key (Insert)
and
F1
twice and I was taken to the site for help. I found the instructions
for
retrieving voice mails. When I went back to Skype 4.2 I could find no
notices that I had voice mails and when I clicked on a person who I knew
had
sent a voice mail and tabbed through the choices there was nothing about
voice mail. I do have it enabled on my Skype.
