Hi, the available scripts for skype work with skype 5 beta just fine. Skype 5 beta is just as useable as skype 4.2. skype 4.2 of course has been the simplest version of skype to date. All of the information is found within one window. So there is no need to switch tasks from window to window to get things done. You can just use the skype main window. With the jaws scripts active live comversation move up to the top of the contact list thus making it easy to deal with calls. It is easy to get to the conversation list and to the event list and chat input box. Once you read the script help your going to find your amazed at the access skype it self has to offer and your going to be amaized how doug has improved on it for jaws users. Also with the scripts you should consider skype talking. It is a program that works threw the skype api to provide information to your screen reader. It also provides an alternative contact list. Switching to an active chat with a key stroke from any where etc. with these tools in your tool box skype 4.2 is a real treat to use. Hth
