i am afraid we have no choice in this matter
after all it is a free program in which you can talk to people all across
the globe
imagine the phone bill if you rung your contacts and spoke on the phone for
the same length of time as you do on skype.
remember that some companies charge for something like this and normally
require a subscribe fee or a monthly bill charge
and that does not include call charges.
skype is free apart from the extras such as voice mail, text messaging from
your mobile, landline and mobile calls etcetera
so although it is frustrating when this kind of thing happens but having
read some of the posts and replies to the problem i hear it has only
happened twice.
most phone companies have had more problems than this and has had crashes
happen more than twice.
at least they have fixed it and without saying they will see to it and take
longer than normal
it has been done fairly quickly in my opinion and at least once they were
aware of the situation they set to work on solving it
they did not say well it is the festive season and no one can do anything
until the festive season is over
i have an account with Vonage v o i p and for £8.99 a month i can talk to 35
European countries but this does not mean i can chat all night like i can on
skype
there is a deadline of 2 hours before call charges apply
that does not happen on skype
and of course what about all the other countries that are not in my v o i p
list?
to have those included would mean an increase in my monthly charge.
and the same thing applies i could not chat all night [24/7]
so as annoying as it was for me also i had to put up with what was
happening.
but at least it is done now and i can use skype once more
and it only took 2 days to complete the work and make everyone happy
let's face it no one really recommends or has a good word for skype when all
goes in their favour but as soon as a problem arises all bad points are
automatically implied.
i am very grateful to have such a luxury as free phone calls worldwide
sorry for such a long biography but i am sure it makes sense and hopefully
someone will agree with me
