how much RAM do you have on your machine? Maybe that's the problem...
I had some crashes when using 4.1, though I had 512 mb at that time. Then I
updated to 1.0gb and nowadays I have a new dual-mode-processor pc whith
something like 3 gb, and here I used 4.2 and 5.x having no crash at all. Did
you test version 5.1 with latest scripts?
Note that I did not install any webcam being totally blind.
