Hey Kay,
I see in the properties you're using Outlook Express, and that means you're running XP like myself. Maybe Marius answer came only to me, but he told that this option is only available for Windows 7 users and probably Vista. XP does not have the checkbox, and does not have this particular problem, meaning that pressing alt+f4 Skype will still be in the system tray icons list accessible via insert+f11.
