I just check the profile via "View Profile" in the contact's Context menu, but I'm not on Facebook or Messenger, so I don't know if that helps you there.

This is a major problem for me do to the fact I have a number of contacts that use the same name on skype and facebook. The work around I described above works but it is time consuming to say the least.
