I checked all dependencies of new shiny Lazarus 3.0
lazarus
├ cqrlog (Gustavo Conrad <gus3963 gmail>)
--> builds ok and starts
├ ddrescueview (Jeremy Hansen <[email protected]>) -->
builds ok and starts
├ *doublecmd-qt5 * (Hao Chi Kiang <[email protected]>)
--> *LazUTF8Classes were deprecated* and now are removed from
Lazarus 3.0. This breaks doublecmd-qt5 slackbuild
├ easymp3gain (Chernov V. V. <[email protected]>) -->
builds ok and starts
├ transgui (Jeremy Hansen <[email protected]>)
--> builds ok and starts
└*winff * (Vijay Marcel <[email protected]>) --> *fails in link*
So doublecmd-qt5 and winff don't build with new Lazarus.
What is the SlackBuilds policy in this situation?
a) Stay with current Lazarus 2.2.6 and hope that all packages will
eventually build correctly? Who keeps checking this and how?
b) Notify maintainers and upgrade Lazarus to 3.0 anyway?
c) Other?
