This test viewer just freezes on me with XP SP3 after about 10 minutes, flying around with the texture console open and 256 meter view. It does not display any errors, I can't move, and the window resize box grays out with (Not Responding) in the title bar. I can end task on it, but then it doesn't do a crash report. Therefore I have nothing useful to report to the JIRA...
Also it is annoying that as a beta client, it reuses my normal client's preferences folder in "Application Data". I really do not like starting up a beta client only to see that it immediately decides to completely expunge the cache of the regular non-crashing client. Ack! Why can't it make its own test preferences folder in "Application Data" and leave my regular client preferences/cache alone? - Dale Mahalko / Scalar Tardis On Wed, Apr 15, 2009 at 5:43 PM, Rob Lanphier <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi everyone, > > Thanks for answering the call to download the latest viewer build off > the open source portal and give it a whirl.
