As far as the "non controversial changes" comment: where did you read that? Is there a rule about unanimous approval? I'm having trouble finding any firm guidelines for this "open source viewer" aka "http-texture" project. I've seen http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/HTTP_Texture_Development but that is very thin on details.
