Hi everyone. I know the aforementioned simulator isn't released yet, but I heard about these changes recently and had to hop on the preview grid to see.
It appears we are close to having HTTP for all asset uploads! It's important to note that in several cases upload is no longer allowed via UDP, and in some of those cases the initial upload isn't allowed via HTTP either. I mustard all of my graphics skills to create this chart showing which upload methods we will need to use after the update, for each type of asset: http://i39.tinypic.com/4hv4gp.jpg For the most part we are already using HTTP to upload assets, but some of us may need to change the way we upload certain types of assets, so it's good to be ready. For instance, if you are uploading scripts or gestures, the new requirement is to use both UDP (CreateInventoryItem) and then HTTP (UpdateScriptAgent, UpdateGestureAgentInventory). However, I'm only trying on my own to find out what works and what doesn't! So if anyone knows, is there anything I missed? I hope the chart is helpful <3
