I remember this coming up in the list a while back, and a Linden mentioned when reflections eventually had gotten removed to make way for windlight. SVN is open to the public, which means we can hop back to the version it existed in, can't we? Lemme try to track the version down. Brad Linden said back in May 2009 https://lists.secondlife.com/pipermail/sldev/2009-May/013654.html that it was cut out to make way for Windlight. Specifically, windlight water. Windlight First Look was released in May of 2007. https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/features/blog/2007/05/29/windlight-first-look-viewer-released The release notes on the wiki say 1.19.1 is the first version with windlight. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/1.19.1 Though 1.19.0 mentions a fix for Windlight pie menus. So 1.18 may be your best bet for finding the code. I'm searching the blog for an open source announcement, but sorting by date gives me completely random results. The year isn't even stable. Jira'd. http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-1395 Someone who's better at using SVN than me will have to look at the oldest thing we have and see if 1.18 is available. I don't remember when the viewer went open source. If it's available, it may have the reflection code, stagnant or not. If it's not there, and older versions aren't available, then it would need to be requested.
