Nah, I didn't confuse other people returning objects with the system returning them. But you do raise a good point, and one that I think needs "official" clarification.
If, as you read it (and you make a good point too), the "Item Return" procedure is limited only to the day they switch limits on, then that's a reasonable one-time hit that people will just have to live with. On that, I totally agree. However, the whole issue of returning objects has been tossed around from so many angles that there is no clear definitive statement as to exactly what they intend to do. I also have issues with "stopping scripts" when memory limits are exceeded. I have several devices that perform a sequence of database updates depending on options chosen and other conditions. I have done as much as programmatically possible to "batch" these transactions so they cannot be interrupted mid-update, but with LSL and its external access capabilities, that isn't always possible. Some of those situations could result in massive failure, perhaps even loss of money, if the updates are only partially completed. (Yes, I'm being a bit extreme, and yes, I've made double sure my devices cannot fail that horribly, but not everyone that scripts is skilled or experienced in DB/transaction philosophy.) LL really should consider an option on an Object called "Do Not Suspend", perhaps limiting that to 1 Object per 100sqm or some such, so critical items such as remote deposit boxes, ATMs, and other money handling devices cannot be suspended at all.
