I consider the fact that we have developed Magnolia on top of the RI a considerable contribution, as we were able to identify and report back to Stefan Giggisberg several road blocks with the RI in its various incarnations.


- remove the current JCRRI codebase since it's based on 0.8 version of the spec (now at 0.9.5 and substantially different)

- don't commit back anything until JCR is in public review (should happen in a few months or sooner)

I understand that issues like the removal of code are usually discussed with the slide-community, to make sure that nothing gets removed if someone still needs it. I do not quite understand how in this instance, such a discussion was not made public. Can you clarify on this?


At the same time, we are seriously concerned about brand abuse and, for this reason, action was needed.

Who exactly is "we"?
