Well,

Here is the link to that patch I was referring to - however I have no idea if I am on the right track or not.
http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=31265

My reason for referring to this patch is that it does not make sense to have an instance of slide that supports 2 different encodings. But please remember that I have nothing to base this on since I have not done any investigation on this area.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your answer.
We really need to use a 2.2 version because we have implemented a quota listener that needs 2.2 classes.
I would like to dig this encoding problem.
Could you give me a first way to fix this problem, what classes to investigate ?
If I succeed I will give you a patch.

Thanks,

Thomas

I had the same problem. That is why I have not yet migrated to 2.2.

I have not had any time to dig into this problem but I am not sure that this problem lies in the txstore - it has been some time since I looked at this problem, but I think that I had the same problem with SQL Server.

The problem might be in the functions handling the url encoding. I remember someone tried to make slide able to handle 2 different type of url encoding and I think that broke something.

Unfortunately I do not have the time right now to spend time on the 2.2 branch, but I hope to get some time again during the summer.

Subject: Encoding problem

Hello,

I am running the last SNV version of Slide and I have encoding problems with accents (tx store). I can create a folder with accents but I can not access it (resource not found).

Here is the URL :
http://localhost:8081/slide/files/quotas/c%27est%20l%27%C3%A9t%C3%A9
for the folder "c'est l'été".

My server.xml has the correct "UTF8" parameters (connector tags).
I have also tried tu run tomcat with the -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 parameter.
It does not work either.
But it works with the 2.1 release.
Any idea ? I post this message on the devel list because I remember that some modifications have been done on the tx store.

Thanks for you help.

Regards,

Thomas
