Thank for your answer Ray, Is there anyone working with a new release in mind though? I read that the project stagnated after developers left due to the complexity of the code (just what I read), is there a trend now towards revitalization? I didn't get that impression from the mailing list but that's just my guess.
Jackrabbit sound great except that there is no release yet, but I would say that as a rule of thumb: Jackrabbit for new projects, Slide only if there is previous investment in it. What do you think? Jaime On 8/11/06, Ray Sprinkle <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Yes and no. The project has definitely slowed considerably but there are a lot of installed users that are providing support and bug fixes (but no releases yet). Jackrabbit is relatively new and its WebDAV support is not as complete as Slide's. On the other hand Jackrabbit's API is "standard" java CM API. Hope this helps. -----Original Message----- From: jbarciela jbarciela [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, August 10, 2006 5:35 PM To: slide-user@jakarta.apache.org Subject: is Slide an active project Hello all, I noticed that while there is some activity in the (this) list, the files for download are from 2004 and the bugs in bugzilla are old too. Is this project active? Has this been superseded by something like Jackrabbit? I don't really get yet what the differences are but they look similar.
