IMO, you are being overly cautious and you should feel confident about doing the upgrade with these simple steps (once you've tested it, you do have a testbed, right?): 1. Compile new version of Slony on all nodes. 2. Stop slon processes on all nodes. 3. Install new version of Slony on all nodes (make install) 4. Execute update functions slonik script on all nodes. 5.
