Hi All, I wish to thank the local linux community for being so supportive of the Singapore Linux Portal. Thanks for the money, thanks for the hardisks, thanks for the technical support and thanks for the articles submitted to us. Seems that the major infrastructure of http://linux.com.sg is up after months of work put in by more than 10 persons. Articles and a lot of support seems to be flowing in by itself now, when it was starting, we had to beg for support. Anyway, the linux community worldwide seems to find Alvin's Installation Review of RedHat 6.1 extremely useful, thanks to Alvin. Just a sidenote, Alvin, your review is now the most hit upon page in the Portal, the first runner up is not even one third of your hits. I am expecting another contribution by Michael Boman on "How to choose a password" tomorrow morning, and I would like to invite more people to contribute articles to be put in the Portal, it is setup for you anyway. Anyway, to tell you all some of our future plans; 1) We are talking to Compaq to get a heavyweight AlphaServer for our use. 2) Link our forum to slugnet mailing list, so that whenever there is a question, it gets forwarded to slugnet. and whenever someone posts to the mailing, it goes to the forum as well. Please continue to give us your support.
