Thanks to the kind folks who assisted with this problem a few days ago. I
now have it resolved except for one major problem.
When pppd runs it is supposed to run /etc/ppp/ip-up when the connection
comes up and /etc/ppp/ip-down when the connection goes down.
/usr/sbin/pppd is owner root, group root, mode 4755
Running strings on pppd shows the scripts are sought for as being
/etc/ppp/ip-up and /etc/ppp/ip-down.
The scripts are both owner root, group root, mode 755.
However, pppd persists in refusing to run both ip-up and ip-down.
Any ideas?
