you don't have to go o/s to buy a modded dvd from the shop -
eg. http://www.capsiehifi.com.au have a rather good site with
usefull info (as well as products/prices).
I'm not associated with them, or even a happy customer -
but I have been thinking about getting a dvd - whether I go
for the linux box or set-top box is still to be decided. As far
as prices go - you may come out cheaper with a set-top box
for instance, campsie hifi are currently selling the Orion DV-KT
player, with multi-region mod and 2 DVD movies for $529.00
http://www.campsiehifi.com.au/dvd_players/orion.htm#dv-kt
seems like a pretty good price. There may be better deals around,
but I have not seen any other Oz sites online (yet).
