Use vim .... simplicity of vi with the advantage of color highlighting. It
even has a special mode for php3. Use ":syntax on" to activate. (Put it in
your .vimrc). And it can be text mode (palette sux a bit though) or X11
(+mouse +menus +large palette). Use gvim to start the X11 edition.
