[SLUG] CABLE MODEM CONNECTION

I am looking for Cable Modem services. There are Telstra and Optus to start with.   Both do not support Linux officially. There is though cable-modem mini howto on connection with Telstra. It seems to me that Optus' deal is better value. Will anyone point me to possible problem in connecting to Optus network?   Regards David Kwok
