We do almost the exact same thing at work (except the modem-connected
network doesn't have its own domain). We run exim as our mailserver,
which is a damn lot easier to configure than sendmail.

You might have to do a bit of a hack to deliver the mail to Box2 unless
it is permanently dialled in. Read the Mail-HOWTO for some tips.
