ifconfig |grep inet > /somewhere/ipcurrent | mail whoever@blah -s SUBJECT
< /somewhere/ipcurrent

That'll give you the IP's of all interfaces .. it's dodgey, but it works.

/bin/echo `/bin/hostname` is online, IP is $4. | /usr/lib/sendmail
[EMAIL PROTECTED] does not work! Sniff Sniff

It just mails me /gunhead is online, ip is  .

Any ideas?
