I wondered how e-smith went. Well worth looking into if you want an "out of the box" server/gateway. For standard installations you can do all that you want from the web management GUI. For those wanting to go under the covers, the configuration files are all generated from templates, which takes some getting used to, but is very powerful. The unified password management (shadow, htpasswd, smbpasswd) is a very nice feature to tie it all together. Charlie and/or I will be giving a talk on the e-smith architecture at the upcoming SAGE-AU conference in the Gold Coast in July. http://www.sage-au.org.au/conf/ Version 4.0b5 is out now and has lots of nice new features.
