I have read the Acceptable Use Policy and the Terms and Conditions at
http://www.bigpond.com/advance/announcement/info.htm and I agree they allow
servers on the volume based plans.

But when I called Bigpond Advance and asked - they didn't know if I could
run a web server on the cable service and resolve the IP address using an
'external' DNS. They suggested I call their Webaction group on 1 800 620
345. The Webaction chap understood what I was talking about and said they
would not allow it.

Is anyone actually doing it?

Regards,

Richard.
