indeed David it is a DAT tape drive. Terry, you threw me the other day,
I misread your reply and thought u were telling me it was a QIC tape
drive, I wasn't going to argue at that point.

 David: I was trying to 'mount' the drive for two reasons:
1 - I was under the impression thats how linux handled drives; they
need to be mounted to be used. Sort of like installing CD ROM drivers so
DOS can use them.
 I came to this conclusion by:
              a/ as Linux boots it says 'mounting local drives' (or
somethign)
              b/ the following reason as to why I was trying to mount it
in the first place;
2 - About the only option I have at this point in the 'Tape backup
tool' that came with SuSE is to "Mount Tape"

If 'm going about this all wrong then please stop me. I need to back up
to tape, dont really care how, but there's nothing in the howtos,
nothing in the help, and I have no idea what I'm doing. Can someone help
me out?
   Mat
