Is logging in as user AutoPPP right? Wouldn't it then be looking for an
AutoPPP entry in /etc/ppp/pap-secrets or am i on the wrong track?
If you're complaining about useless mac diagnostics you're probably stuck
with ppp/open transport shipped with OS8 and up.. change your modem to null
modem 75600 and on the main ppp/ot screen hit options and under protocol
set to connect to command line host, use terminal window. You then get a
nice pre-dial terminal where you can control what goes on..
