DTMF encoders....
I swore off PIC devices as a nuisance, but with more Linux
tools I've come back.
PIC's. Jaycar has kits for this. I bought the cheapo burner ($36
from memory) without software (d/l from net).
I'll attach the dtmf encoder software for a PIC for Grant in a direct
email.
Linux tools:
gpsim - simulator (a little buggy)
gpasm - assembler
mary - a forth system - looks interesting. Forth seems a better
fit than C
(above on freshmeat)
c2c - C compiler, not free, but cheap, or zero price for home use.
(use google)
The UHF transcievers from Oatley look interesting. Recently featured
in an EA article about remote control extenders.
