Legato now supports linux as a client (server to come very soon) Servers can
be NT or Solaris etc. (believe most major unixes)

Big price tag but a nice piece of software...

1. You can try my free CPIO/FIND based backup.. (It backs up, verifies the
backup, and ejects the tape).. http://www.linuxhelp.com.au in the free
downloads area.. Bit of a bitch to do manual cpio restores.. But it
works, and is free :)

2. Theres BRU - It's quite nice.. especially if you like a point and click
restore kind of thing..

3. Perfect BACKUP.. (Haven't tried this yet)..

4. Backup Professional - This is aparantly similar to Backup EXEC and
Arcserve, but works on all platforms (including linux). Handles lots of
sites, tapes, tape changers, tape libraries etc etc.. just about
everything you could ever want.. But with a price tag to match..
I have some trial CD's of this. If anyone desperately wants one, you can
pick one up from the store.

5. ArcserveIT? Im not sure..

6. There is another one which I cant remember the name of that I will be
reviewing as soon as Terry sends it back to me! <HINT HINT>..

When I looked into Arkeia, not only did they *NEVER* respond to my Voice
Mail messages, Faxs, and emails.. But they were downright rude when I
stayed up till early in the morning to call them directly to catch them at
work.. ... Hence, Why we don't sell the product.. Especially after
hearing from some people who already run it!
