PLEASE tell us what you are trying to do. Your questions are starting
to sound like:
what is better, a Ford or a sponge cake?
Without more info we really can't provide an informed answer.
Oracle's tables are fixed sizes. If you want an 180Mb database table,
you create it first. Then it gradually fills up as you populate the
database. It's up to the DBA to specify the size(s) of the table(s)
first. So, yes Oracle can chew up a lot of space, but only if you tell
it to. It also cannot grow beyond the boundaries of the pre defined
table files. (I am not a DBA)
