(Cat5 cabling a house being built).
One tip I've seen is to take photos of cabling before
gyprock goes on.
I'm pretty sure you can do better than Jaycar for bulk cable.
One suggestion I can think of: have holes drilled in top plates
and noggings (short bracing pieces between studs) and place a
draw-cord. Then whenever you want to put something through you
can later. (Draw from where you punch a hole
through the gyprock). Probably easier access for internal
walls rather than external (not much room in the roof where the
external walls almost touch the roofline).
This means you haven't spent a lot on cable initially.
BTW if you don't have a concrete slab and can get underneath, this
is also an advantage.
Beware putting everything in whilst building is going up : that
way lies the cost overruns.
