I am trying to set up a virtual server with username:password authentication. The server returns the 401 status (this from the access_log): 203.41.237.74 - - [19/Nov/2000:12:08:09 +1100] "GET / HTTP/1.0" 401 517 "-" "Mozilla/4.73 [en] (X11; I; Linux 2.2.17 i686)" the browser prompts OK but when I return the username and password the server's child process segfaults (this from the error_log): [Sun Nov 19 12:08:19 2000] [notice] child pid 25666 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) It does not dump core. As far as I can make out the apache configs are correct as it reloads OK without any errors. I have run tcpdump/tcpshow and all looks in order as far as the data being sent out from the client is concerned. The installation is a bog standard RH6.2. What is the best way of tracking this one down? -- Howard. ______________________________________________________ LANNet Computing Associates <http://www.lannet.com.au> -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://slug.org.au/lists/listinfo/slug
