>ZZ doesn't mean anything. :wq means :(command) w (write) q (quit) I guess "ZZ" was intended to mean "the end", as in the end of the alphabet. I remember when I was at uni 20 years ago it was a lot of fun to walk up to someone's terminal and type "vi" to see if they could get out of it.
