I have a computer. Inside my computer is a hpt-370 (highpoint ata-100) controller card. Now, they have released a 'Linux driver' in the form of a 2.2.16 kernel patch. (" http://www.highpoint-tech.com/370drivers.htm ") My question is, can I use this patch (for 2.2.16) and use a 2.4 kernel so I can remain 0day? At the moment, I am using a custom 2.2.16 kernel. I am not sure if patching a diff kernel with another patch would work. Id really like to try the new kernel out in a real environment whilst my uptime isn't that great. Thanks, avantguard. PS. Propz to the warez group Linux for releasing the new Linux kernel. -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://slug.org.au/lists/listinfo/slug
