Bullshit.
Gdm works with multihead fine [it displays to .0 only however].
its you WM that needs to be ICCCM (? IIRC) aware/compliant. WindowMaker works
quite nicely on a multihead system.
You also might want to consider using the Xinerama extension which let
you use a multihead system as if it was just one large display. I
personally don't like Xinerama, but i don't speak for everybody.
