You are getting the run around :-(
All I can suggest is follow the dependencies thru to their fullest.
If you get frustrated enough try a --nodeps and see what happens. It will
probably break unless you know exactly what you want out of the rpm and what
it depends on.
(This is a big argument for debian's apt really :-/ - gets me every time.)
