I got a Lexmark T520 earlier this year with Postscript. It has a
parallel and a serial connection - no USB. Works ace.

for i in 'printers in shops'; do
        Pick a printer with the features you want and the price;
        Have a look at the printer-HOWTO, is it supported?;
                if no; exit 1;
                else; continue;
        search SLUG archives for users experiences with this model;
        check printer manufacturers web site for driver availablility \
                and docs for Linux install of those drivers;
        go back to store and say \
                "I will be running Linux on this printer, do you know anything \
                that will help me, like are drivers available?". READ response;
                if good continue; else exit store;
done

$buy;
