Thanks. At the time it was a blank disk. Right now I'm just trying to get the CD working - one small step at a time.Tux:~# mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdd /mnt/cdrw mount: block device /dev/hdd is write-protected, mounting read-only mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdd, or too many mounted file systemswhat did you have in the drive? music cds don't have an iso9660 filesystem. I understand that audio CD's & DVD's both use the iso9660 filesystem. I use the DVD drive to play both, and hope to be able to burn audio via cdrecord. My last attempt to use gnome CD Player told me I had a 'Drive Error' and that I did not have correct permissions. My fstab includes /dev/fd0 /floppy auto defaults, user, noauto 0 0which should be correct, unless I am looking in the wrong place ... Am I choosing the right fs type ? I tried udf with no success. Whatever I am missing has to be simple. Adam Bogacki, [EMAIL PROTECTED] |
