im not talking about pay tv though

paytv channels are scrambled. the free ones arent
you point your dish at the sat, and then start
scanning and find channels you like. or look
up tables etc for the satelitte

you can get cards for your satelite box that allow
you to use it for paytv.

    100's. just point your dish at a satellite and
    start decoding. there are free channels on the same
    sat's that run the pay tv stuff, just that the pay
    tv stuff is encrypted.

    there is digital radio and all sorts on there also

    have a mate or two who are quite into it.
