Hello List. It’s been a while. I’ve got a small matter with a Linode-hosted box I run. Set up last year as OpenSUSE 11.0 and at some point in the intervening time I did an upgrade to 11.1. That was a while ago, judging by the fact that the 11.1 repos seem to be invalid now:
# uname -a Linux ------ 2.6.39.1-linode34 #1 SMP Tue Jun 21 10:29:24 EDT 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux # cat /etc/SuSE-* openSUSE VERSION = 11.1 openSUSE 11.1 (i586) VERSION = 11.1 # zypper list-updates Loading repository data... Can someone point me in the direction of some good instructions for managing repos and, more specifically, what steps I have to take to bring this poor neglected machine up to 11.4? (I’ve been using yast out of laziness but am quite happy messing about with vi in /etc if needs be.) It’s just one of those problems I have trouble finding the right words to describe to Uncle Google. thanks & cheers, ..S. ---- : Stewart Lawler : Computer Systems Engineer : Linux/Unix @ IT Production Services : University of New South Wales -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
