Which might be a sensible approach if the defaults were in any way
functional or obvious. When Gnomescreensaver removed all the configuration
from the xscreensavers they wrapped, there was no way to work out where the
pictures came from, or change it.  That'd be a support call in your model.

Still no closer to a solution here...
