Hello I've finally gotten fed-up with the slow google search from my Firefox toolbar, and decided to do something about it. The problem is that all google.com searches are redirected to google.com.sg. This redirection can take ages. The obvious solution is to set the Google Search box to directly search against google.com.sg. Here's how:
Find your Firefox installation directory, and look for a file called: <Firefox_Installation_Director>/searchplugins/google.xml Edit google.xml, and change "http://www.google.com/search"; to "http://www.google.com.sg/search"; Presto!
