Not sure if this will work. My friend Zeppy tried it on OpenSuse and it works
with Starhub 3G usb.

after you copy the script save it and run this command in the command line
wvdial.
Note: please add static DNS Address in /etc/resolv.conf ; if you have existing
DNS address you can use it. or
you can use the OPEN DNS address 208.67.220.222 and 208.64.220.220
after you add the DNS address; refresh your network and try to browse if or ping
www.google.com
