Yes! I was so convinced I would need some commandline incantation, grepping of lsusb output, fiddling of simpleui.rc, and so on, that I didn't even think of just clicking on Networks. Still, the Eee is not a complete triumph .. this article notes some gripes I've also noticed: http://gizmodo.com/351086/asus-eee-pc-long+term-review-verdict-honeymoon-officially-over Specifically: - the system freezes. Both a black one and white one (both 4G 700's) I've tried have repeatedly frozen after being left alone for a while. - the wifi network detection can be wonky. Yesterday in the National Library it showed about 5 library public access networks, and just as many [EMAIL PROTECTED] networks, both up to 90+% signal strength. It jumped on the library network and refused to connect to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] network. Meantime my Thinkpad was on [EMAIL PROTECTED] with no problem. -- jean . .. .... //\\\oo///\\ _______________________________________________ Slugnet mailing list [email protected] http://wiki.lugs.org.sg/LugsMailingListFaq http://www.lugs.org.sg/mailman/listinfo/slugnet
