The device is: HUAWEI Model: E220 HSDPA USB Modem When I run ./vodafone...-beta3-ALL-i386-installer.run the extraction completes, but then I get a bunch of: /lib/tls/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4` not found (required by /opt/vmc/lib/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so.0) Others that require this symbol are libgobject, libpangox, libpango, libfontconfig, libfreetype, libglib and libexpat. Then there's an error that /etc/dbus-1/session.d/vmc.conf doesn't exist. Then it tries to install something called "direct access", and again a bunch of `GLIBC_2.4` errors. The binaries installed in /opt/vmc/bin die, e.g. with 'error loading shared libraries: libuniconf.so.4.3 ...' I hope this overenthusiastic installer didn't stomp on anything in /etc :-( -- jean . .. .... //\\\oo///\\ _______________________________________________ Slugnet mailing list [email protected] http://wiki.lugs.org.sg/LugsMailingListFaq http://www.lugs.org.sg/mailman/listinfo/slugnet
