Exactly, that was my immediate reaction when I first read it. MS must have pressured Asus as part of the deal to put XP on the EeePC900 that they should write something disparaging about Linux to show that it is not an OS for serious users. This kind of "brainwashing" is very powerful and it leaves a lasting impression on customers' minds. When I tell my so-called knowlegeable friends that I had just bought an EeePC, they invariably ask - so are you going to UPGRADE the OS to Windows XP? - Denis _______________________________________________ Slugnet mailing list [email protected] http://wiki.lugs.org.sg/LugsMailingListFaq http://www.lugs.org.sg/mailman/listinfo/slugnet
