The only 2 laptops I ever managed to get pre-installed with linux are the EeePC. In SG, I never saw anything else sold with Linux.
You got to understand the distributors too... I mean the level of penetration of Linux is so low in Singapore... Back when I was at NUS, even in the school of computing, I don't remember having met a guy actually using it. Sad. Well that's not gonna help you... but I understand your frustration.
