I've got two APPO's running on a 30 volt 1 amp Radio Shack part number
273-1668. It comes with a variety of adapters - I use type "N" and put the
negative to the center pin. Sticker price $21.95

Seems to work OK - the Power Shot says "upto 50V" so I guess it's only
drawing the current it needs.

I replaced one to see if it would fix my dead ethernet / dead RF problem, it
didn't!! But I left it there anyway. The other is on a long cat5 run up a
tower.

Have you tried Radio Shack... They have an 18vdc 1 amp. I think the
barrel is a type "O" to fit the SB injector.

These are like $27.50 each?

Well, SmartBridges sent me this link. It's only 1 amp,
but it is VERY affordable. SB referred to it as 1.6A,
but the item in the link looks to be only 1A.

As well, I am in Canada, so I always risk some goofball charging $50 to
fill out some customs / duty form. It's not uncommon to order a $5 item
and pay $75 for it, if it get's shipped the wrong way and goes through
the wrong hands. I was hoping to find a Canadian company that sold them
& avoid that. Binary Solutions (the new SB distributor here) hasn't
been a lot of help in locating a larger adapter. I would have thought
they'd have one available - even if they simply bought them from some
OEM. I'll keep looking for a CDN source - any help would be appreciated
anyone. :-)

SmartBridges is suggesting I try an 18v powersupply.
They suggest Mouser 552-PSA-31U-180 18V @1.6A
Does anyone have a good source for something in this
range, preferably something in Canada so it'll be quick
and won't kill me on shipping / duty.

Any suggested sources (or off list contacts) would be appreciated.

Todd
